Our art museum is one of the most important place for exhibition for contemporary art in Saxony-Anhalt and beyond. Located in the oldest preserved building in Magdeburg, the “monastery” with its collection and a large number of great exhibitions has established itself as an acute location for the visual arts and as an active part of the social life of our city.

This is hardly possible without friends and sponsors who feel connected to the museum and its programme. As an association, we have been promoting the Magdeburg Art Museum since 2002 with the acquisition of works of art, the realization of exhibitions, the scientific work and the communication of artistic ideas. We are a lively forum for the exchange of ideas about the fine arts and we look forward to you becoming involved with us.

Contemporary art is no mystery here. As a member of the association, you will meet well-known artists personally. Art as a community experience opens up privileged access for you to interesting public figures in the art talk.
