Emilia and Joanna live in Poland and work in Germany. The French film artist Eléonore de Montesquiou (born 1970 in Paris, lives in Berlin) describes the everyday life of the two young women from Poznan. In sensitive observations, she documents a reality of life in Germany that is not seen or registered, even though it is part of the realities of our time. Interviews with the two Polish women draw the film's viewers into confidence through their unusual closeness; they report on life processes that necessitate coexisting identities.

The rapidly merging Europe of West and East and the increasing loss of national and regional sovereignty in politics and the economy often only provide subsidized major events for the associated cultural change. Old and new cultural traditions and lifestyles remain in the blind spot of public perception as long as they cannot be commercialized in a folkloristic and tourist way. Eléonore de Montesquiou shows the rarely discussed reality of her own generation, for whom change and a life in transit are normal.
